How Booking Works
Timed entry, e-tickets, and the gate on Dufferin. Reading-only — I do not sell or hold seats.
Timed entry — one showtime per e-ticket
The castle dinner show runs on timed entry. When you book you pick a specific date and showtime (usually one or two shows on weekdays, two or three on weekends). Your e-ticket is tied to that timeslot. If you arrive late you forfeit the feast portion — they can seat you at intermission for the tournament but not for the dinner service — so allow for Toronto traffic on Dufferin, especially on Saturday nights.
E-tickets, nothing paper
After you book, the operator emails a PDF or Apple Wallet / Google Pay pass with a QR. That's what gets scanned at the gate. If you booked a group, each member can be sent a separate pass or you can show all of them from one phone — the scanner reads one at a time.
Nobody at the castle takes cash at the gate for walk-up seats. There's no box-office window. If a show isn't sold out online, there might be a few seats held back for a stand-by desk inside the foyer, but that's not reliable; don't drive out there on the hope of it.
The gate
The castle is on Dufferin Street between Castlefield and Lawrence, with the main pedestrian gate opening onto Dufferin and the car park wrapping behind the building. There are two queue lines inside the gate — pre-show photo (the "knighting" portrait) and general seating. You can skip the photo without missing anything.
Expect bag check at the gate: no outside food, no outside drink, no sharp souvenirs (don't buy a kid a plastic sword from a street vendor on the way in; it will be held at the gate until you leave). Cameras and phones are fine; flash photography during the tournament is discouraged for the horses' sake.
Changes and cancellations
Operator policy — not mine — is that e-tickets are usually transferable to a different date up to a cutoff, often 24-48h before the showtime. Full refunds are rare and depend on how you booked. The operator's homepage has the current policy: medievaltimes.com/toronto. If you're reading this on your way to the castle and your plans just changed, call the operator directly — I'm reading only, I can't move your date.
